Amit, Isaac

Isaac Amit was born in Israel in 1958. Following his service in the Israel Defense Forces, he studied law at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, graduating summa cum laude in 1985. He completed his legal clerkship at a law firm and was admitted to the Israel Bar in 1986 and entered into private practice. In 1997, he was appointed Judge of the Haifa Magistrates Court. In October 2001, he was appointed Acting Judge of the Haifa District Court and in July 2002, he was appointed Judge of the Haifa District Court. In October 2009, he was appointed Justice of the Supreme Court of Israel.
