Grosskopf, Ofer

Ofer Grosskopf was born in Israel in 1969. He is married and has four sons. In 1991 he graduated from Tel Aviv University School of law (LL.B., magna cum laude). During that time he also earned two degrees in Economics from Tel Aviv University: B.A. (1990, magna cum laude) and M.A. (1992, magna cum laude). In 1993 he was admitted to the Israeli Bar. During the years 1991 to 1997 he served as an officer in the Israeli Defense Forces, first as a legal advisor in the Military Advocate General Office, and later as a legal counsel to the IDF's Housing Projects. In 1999 he has received his LL.M. from Harvard University, and later that year has received his J.S.D. (with distinction) from Tel Aviv University. From 1996 to 2002 he was a member of the faculty at the College of Management School of Law, serving as Lecturer (from 1999) and Senior Lecturer (from 2001). In 2002 he joined the faculty of Tel Aviv University School of Law, serving as Senior Lecturer (2002 - 2006), Associate Professor (2006 – 2009) and Vice Dean (2008 – 2009). He is the author of two books in Hebrew: "Protection of Competition Rules via the Law of Unjust Enrichment" (2002) and "Charges of Obligation" (With Nina Zaltzman, 2006). He has also published many articles in various journals in Israel and abroad. In 2009 he was appointed Judge of the Central District Court in Lod. In March 2018 he was appointed Justice of the Supreme Court of Israel.
